How to Purchase JENNIE Music?
Find out how to get JENNIE's upcoming release to help it rank on important music charts.
Purchasing music plays a key role in determining an JENNIE's success on music charts.
- Music charts, such as the Billboard Hot 100, factor in digital and physical sales heavily when determining rankings. More sales increase an artist's chances of charting high.
- Strong sales in the first week can lead to a higher chart debut, giving the song visibility and momentum.
- On many charts, especially in systems like the Billboard Hot 100, a purchase is considered more valuable than a stream. For example, in certain metrics, 1 digital sale can be worth as much as 150-200 streams.
- Consistent sales over time can help sustain a song's position on the charts, preventing it from dropping too quickly.
- High sales can generate buzz and attention from other platforms, including radio stations and streaming services, which are more likely to promote a song that's performing well.
JENNIE’s music can be purchased digitally and physically.
WHERE to Purchase JEnnie's DIGITAL MUSIC?
Only purchases from approved retailers contribute to official chart counts. Some of these include:
Amazon iTunes Qobuz 7Digital Stationhead
Purchases from these platforms are tracked by Nielsen SoundScan (now known as Luminate) for charts like the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200.
How Digital Purchases Are Counted:
- Singles: A digital purchase of a single counts directly toward that track's chart position.
- Albums: A digital purchase of an entire album is counted toward the album charts (e.g., Billboard 200). However, individual songs within an album can also contribute to the Hot 100 through the Track Equivalent Album (TEA) metric, where 10 digital single purchases equal 1 album purchase.
HOW DO I MAKE MY DIGITAL PURCHASES COUNT?
- To help with charting, it is strongly recommended to NOT purchase more than 1 copy per customer!
- Only 1 purchase of any album, EP, single, or track will be counted per customer. If a customer buys more than 1 of any particular album, EP, single, or track, the sale will only count as 1 unit for Billboard charts.
- Digital purchases need to be downloaded to a computer to count toward sales.
- Do not gift albums/tracks.
As reported by chart data, Billboard does not count digital download singles from artist web stores towards the Hot 100 chart.
"Sales of any specific album purchased on iTunes and gifted to another are not reported to Nielsen Music by Apple, and thus, do not count on Billboard's charts."
Pre-orders for digital albums also count toward chart placement, but only once the album is officially released.
Tracking Period:
- Charts are typically calculated on a weekly basis, with tracking periods from Friday to Thursday in most cases. So, if you purchase music within this time frame, it will count for that week’s chart.
- Timing purchases during an artist's first week of release is critical for their debut chart performance.
Multiple Purchases:
- Only one digital purchase per user per platform is counted toward the charts. Buying multiple copies of a song or album on the same platform using the same account won't multiply its chart impact.
International Purchases:
- In some cases, only domestic (U.S.-based) purchases count toward charts like Billboard, though international purchases may contribute to other regional charts (e.g., UK Singles Chart).
Music Videos:
- Purchases of music videos from platforms like iTunes also count toward charting, but they contribute to specific video-related charts and not directly to the Hot 100 or Billboard 200.
Note: This guide ensures your support for JENNIE directly impacts her chart success.
Where should you purchase JEnnie's physical album or songs?
A physical music purchase must come from a recognized and accredited retailer to ensure that it counts toward chart performance. Some common sources include:
Amazon* Target Walmart Best Buy Barnes & Noble Weverse Shop USA** Weverse Shop Global***
Notes:
- *If you are purchasing from Amazon, please make sure it says “Sold & Shipped by Amazon.” If it doesn’t say that, then that means it’s from 3rd party sellers.
- **100% of album sales on Weverse Shop USA count for Billboard charts.
- ***Albums sold on Weverse Shop Global are not counted for Billboard; they are 100% counted on South Korea’s Hanteo and Gaon charts.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR MUSIC PURCHASES COUNT?
- In order to help with charting, it is strongly recommended to NOT purchase more than 4 copies per customer per week!
- This limitation is PER CUSTOMER. Multiple orders by the same customer will not count for more than 4 copies.
- Fulfilled albums will now report the day after the date of shipment regardless of the album release date entered in Single. If the order is shipped ahead of Luminate’s physical reporting window (Tuesday - Monday) then the sale will not be counted.
- Enhanced Bulk Order Filtering
- 1 digital album sale
- 4 physical album sales
- Email address
- IP address
- Shipping address
- Billing address
How defined a unique "fan" was based solely on their email address.
Beginning in 2024, Single will incorporate additional criteria to more accurately identify potential bulk purchases from the same person:
If multiple orders contain matching values for the above data points, they will now be considered part of the same bulk sale. This means the weekly per-customer limits will apply collectively to any duplicate orders flagged across those four identifiers.
